Where the Crawdads Sing Book Cover

For this project, I decided to redesign an already existing book cover. The book I chose was Where the Crawdads Sing. When I saw the original book cover, I felt it did not effectively depict the story’s setting. Since the book takes place in a bog or swamp, I wanted my redesign to more effectively capture the environment. I used Adobe Illustrator to create the overall layout and outline of the book cover. To give the cover more depth, I added hand-drawn feet, birds, and shells using Procreate. These details are inspired by the main character, an artist with a passion for sketching.
